DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Mango Sorbet

Mango Sorbet

I’m still not completely clear on how to differentiate recipes from Dominica and The Dominican Republic. With the kind help of Haris Laquita Waddle, I’m certain I’ve covered both nations, even if not necessarily under the right name. Sorry Dominicans. This recipe couldn’t be easier and takes 5 minutes to make.

So that ends the Ds and we’re onto the Es… including England as I’ve chosen to split the U.K. into England, N Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Deciding what to do for England is keeping me up at noon get…thought?

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb. frozen mango
1 cup water
½ cup sugar or other type of sweetener can be used to taste
½ lime peeled

DIRECTIONS:

Put all ingredients in a blender on low then quickly go to high until the blender sound changes and all is combined together. Make sure not to over blend as it will melt your sorbet.

Serve on top of watermelon slices or other fresh fruit as desired.
