KYRGYZSTAN: Apple Cake

Last of the Ks.
Kyrgyzstan is supposedly where apples originated, so who knows the age of this very simple apple cake. Used apples from our tree. Divine.

INGREDIENTS:
3 or 4 apples that are good to bake like a granny smith
1 cup sugar
3 to 4 eggs beaten
1 cup all purpose flour, sifted
Powdered sugar to sprinkle on top
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Line the bottom of a 8 inch round cake pan with some parchment paper.
Peel and thinly slice the apples and place in a bowl.
Add in the sugar and mix well.
Add in the beaten eggs and flour and mix all together.
Pour the batter into the cake pan.
Bake about 30-35 minutes or until a test pick comes out clean.
Sprinkle with some powdered sugar and serve warm.
